Our three exclusive properties at Aberlady, East Lothian, are built to an exceptionally high standard, combining traditional buildings with modern ideas. Located within private grounds on the shores of the Firth of Forth The Lodges at… Aberlady are an ideal base to enjoy everything East Lothian and Scotland have to offer and only 18 miles east of Edinburgh.

The Lodges at… is the creation of Geoff and George Wood, two brothers who between them have over 60 years experience running highly reputable, successful and profitable companies.

They have transformed the former wagon / alms house at Aberlady to offer the unique concept of fractional ownership and holiday let – a new and exciting addition to East Lothian’s bustling tourism industry. The extensive program of renovation was completed in 2008 and has enabled The Lodges at… to deliver luxurious and exclusive residences at an affordable price

We have developed close working relationships with the golfing fraternity of East Lothian which allows us to offer owners/guests the opportunity to sample a number of the world renowned courses throughout the county.

The Lodges at… Aberlady are perfectly situated on the doorstep of Craigielaw and Kilspindie golf clubs, and are no more than a five minute drive from Muirfield, home of the 2012 Open Championship. In fact, The Lodges at… Aberlady are only around a 20 minute drive from 22 excellent courses throughout East Lothian.

We should also not forget Edinburgh. The Lodges at… Aberlady are a thirty minute drive from the centre of Scotland’s capital.

Unforgettable Edinburgh is home to an array of attractions from award winning festivals to a history which is difficult to match. Then there is the shopping. Edinburgh is making a long awaited comeback in the ranks of places to shop. Princes Street is rekindling its former glory while The Walk is home to Scotland’s only Harvey Nichols store as well as several other designer boutiques.

I suppose we should also mention the golf. Edinburgh and the Lothian’s are awash with a huge array of courses all of which is enough to satisfy the most diverse of tastes. We haven’t even mentioned the Scottish Borders and the North East of England both within easy reach of The Lodges at… Aberlady.

George Wood: an experienced builder of some 35 years, George and his company George Wood & Son are responsible for the construction of the properties at Aberlady. George prides himself on building functional properties to an exceptionally high finish.

Stewart Smith: a current PGA Professional and marketer, Stewart has taken a hands on the role as Managing Consultant. He has helped Geoff to prepare The Lodges at… Aberlady for the dual concept of fractionalisation and holiday let.

Justin Hynd: over 10 years experience in marketing, PR and facilities management.

Kelly Hynd: with over 15 years experience in sales and marketing, Kelly has developed an exceptional services package for owners and guests.

Gavin Corbett: brought onboard to help facilitate the project, Gavin’s advice has been invaluable in developing this exclusive product.
